Astronomy and astrophysics · High school and university

Astronomy tutoring for curious, serious learners.

Astronomy courses range from descriptive first-year electives to demanding astrophysics. Krsna Academy's academic lead studied astrophysics, and our tutors support both the concepts and the calculations.

Astronomy topics we tutor

High school Earth and space science, university astronomy electives, and astrophysics courses for physics majors.

Where astronomy students most often get stuck

01

The math behind the pictures

Elective astronomy courses still test calculations with logarithms, scientific notation, and ratios. We make those routine.

02

Scale and units

Parsecs, light-years, solar masses, and magnitudes are unfamiliar. We build a feel for the scales so answers can be sanity-checked.

03

Linking physics to observation

Astrophysics asks you to infer what a star is doing from its light. We connect each observation to the physics that explains it.

How it works

One-to-one tutorials, online or in person.

Every tutorial is 60 minutes with one tutor and one learner. Use the interactive tuition estimate to explore a plan around the learner's level, programme, delivery, and continuity needs.

Explore a tutoring plan

01

Tell us about the learner

Grade, curriculum, subject, and what is most pressing right now. The consultation is free and takes 30 minutes.

02

Meet a tutor matched to the work

We recommend a tutor with the right subject depth and a way of explaining that suits the learner.

03

Follow a visible plan

After each tutorial the learner has clear next steps, and parents can see what was covered and what is improving.

Questions, answered

The questions we hear most.

Is astronomy tutoring only for university students?

No. We also support high school students taking Earth and space science, IB Physics students, and younger learners with a strong interest in space.

Can you help with a first-year astronomy elective for non-science students?

Yes. We focus on the key ideas, the quantitative questions that appear on tests, and how to study a content-heavy course.
