Tutoring that adapts to how your child learns.

Many neurodivergent learners understand far more than their marks show. Krsna Academy offers one-to-one tutoring, online or in person, with a consistent tutor, a predictable structure, and pacing that follows the learner rather than the clock.

How tutorials are adapted

Every plan begins with a conversation with the family about what works for the learner, what does not, and what the school already has in place.

Structure

  • The same tutor every week
  • A predictable routine for each tutorial
  • One clear goal per session
  • Short work blocks with planned breaks

Teaching

  • Step-by-step explanations with nothing skipped
  • Visual models, diagrams, and worked examples
  • Instructions given one at a time
  • Extra time to think and answer

Flexibility

  • Camera on or off, as the learner prefers
  • Typing, speaking, or drawing an answer
  • Shorter or longer tutorials when needed
  • Interests used to make the work meaningful

Communication

  • Notes for parents after every tutorial
  • Plans that take the school's IEP or IPP into account
  • Regular check-ins on what is and is not working
  • Itemized receipts for every session

What families tell us matters most

01

A tutor who does not rush

Learners who have been hurried through school need time to rebuild trust in their own thinking. We go at the pace that keeps understanding intact.

02

Executive function, not just content

Starting a task, planning an assignment, and keeping track of deadlines are skills. We teach them alongside the subject.

03

Confidence before difficulty

We begin where the learner is already successful and raise the challenge gradually, so each tutorial ends with something they can do.

How it works

One-to-one tutorials, online or in person.

Every tutorial is 60 minutes with one tutor and one learner. Use the interactive tuition estimate to explore a plan around the learner's level, programme, delivery, and continuity needs.

Explore a tutoring plan

01

Tell us about the learner

Grade, curriculum, subject, and what is most pressing right now. The consultation is free and takes 30 minutes.

02

Meet a tutor matched to the work

We recommend a tutor with the right subject depth and a way of explaining that suits the learner.

03

Follow a visible plan

After each tutorial the learner has clear next steps, and parents can see what was covered and what is improving.

Questions, answered

The questions we hear most.

Does my child need a formal diagnosis?

No. We work with learners who have a diagnosis, learners who are waiting for an assessment, and learners whose families simply know that the usual approach is not working.

Are your tutors therapists or special education teachers?

No. We are academic tutors. We adapt how we teach, and we are glad to follow strategies recommended by your child's school team, psychologist, or therapist. We do not diagnose or provide therapy.

Can we use autism funding or a benefits plan to pay for tutoring?

Rules differ by province and by plan, so please confirm eligibility with your funding programme or insurer. We provide itemized receipts for every session and can supply the documentation they ask for.

Which subjects and grades do you support?

Grades 1 to 12 and university, in math, science, and study skills, across the Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Nova Scotia, and IB curricula.
